Bringing together researchers, practitioners and policy makers working with migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland
Want to shine yourself on a fascinating platform open to cutting-edge scholars within your field? Want to gain more knowledge about all the amazing stuff that is going on within the Glasgow Refugee Asylum and Migration Network? GRAMNet is inviting postgraduate students who are doing research in the fields of migration and asylum to enter into a mini version of the successful 3 Minute Thesis competition (3MT®), as developed by the University of Queensland. It will be held during the Research Open Day, which is arranged in conjunction with this year’s Refugee week, Wednesday 12 June, 2-5pm in the Sir Charles Wilson Building. During a three hour session of interesting talks by various researchers across the GRAMNet, 30 minutes will be devoted to give postgraduates the opportunity to (very) shortly present their research. The format is easy: Present your research in three minutes, and you can only use one slide. A great opportunity to freshen your mind and think about your research from a different perspective. Challenge your academic, presentation, and research communication skills. A small symbolic price will be awarded to the winner.
